Connect with Peers

Join fellow academics in a workshop exploring the psychological impacts of working on the worsening social-environmental crisis, and how to navigate these challenges while maintaining professional credibility.

Connect with Peers is designed to support academics who feel a disconnect between their professional role and the urgency of humanity’s colliding environmental and social crises.

As a safe space for academics who are questioning their academic role in these crises, the purpose of the workshop is to come together and collectively reflect on the different emotional and professional struggles and tensions each of you are experiencing. Whether you already have a clear sense of how you want to deepen your role and are experiencing difficulties, or are questioning what your role should be, join like-minded colleagues to share your perspectives. Together, you will explore how to navigate the challenges of academia in a time of crisis while maintaining professional credibility.
